Power Barrels

Barrel racers across the country are invited to come together to compete against each other simultaneously through the newly announced POWER BARRELS sidepot. Beginning in September, 2008, weekend producers will join together (minimum of 3 events per weekend) to create a purse with at least $600 added offered to barrel racers competing at 3 events held simultaneously across the country. Contestants wishing to enter the POWER BARRELS sidepot, at each nationwide event, will pay an additional $20 entry fee per horse/rider for the weekend. Points will be awarded at EACH of the 3 shows based on their placing at their location, EACH day. Points are based on a 5D (1/2 sec split) beginning with the fastest time each day. At the end of the weekend, points from EACH day, at EACH location are combined, and the cumulative hi-point winners from across the country are placed and the POWER BARRELS sidepot is paid out.
